Noah Goldstein, MD - Psychiatry and Psychotherapy
Practice Information:
I am currently accepting new patients. I offer in-person, virtual, and hybrid treatment options. I am glad to set up a time to speak by phone for 10-15 minutes to discuss your situation and whether my practice might be a good fit for your needs and goals.
Please be advised that my practice is out of network with all insurers. This means that I do not submit claims or receive payments from any insurance provider, including Medicare or Medicaid. While I do not bill insurance directly, you may be entitled to out-of-network benefits from your insurer. I would encourage you to speak with your insurer to determine your eligibility for out-of-network benefits, as I can provide you with "super bill" documents if you wish to submit these for reimbursement.
Fees:
Initial consultation (50 min or 90 min): $300 or $500
In some cases, 50 minutes may not be enough time for a comprehensive evaluation. I therefore offer the option of booking a double session for the initial consultation for those who would like to have more time to discuss their situation. The initial consultation is as much an opportunity for me to assess your situation and make a recommendation about whether I will be able to meet your needs as it is an opportunity for you to evaluate me and make a decision about whether you think we will make a good fit. Even with an extended initial consultation, it can take more than a single meeting for us to decide how best to proceed, so this first meeting may end with a plan to meet for another session or two before making a decision about how to proceed in a treatment relationship.
Psychotherapy or combined session (50 min): $250
For patients interested in meeting for therapy more than once per week, fees may be adjusted to help offset the cost of this more intensive treatment. Outside of this case, I do not currently have openings for reduced-fee or pro bono treatment. If you are interested in reduced fee or pro bono treatment, I would be happy add your name to a waiting list.
Pharmacotherapy or "medication management" only (50 min): $300
While I offer brief supportive and insight-oriented therapy at every appointment, my fee is higher for patients who are not seeing me regularly for therapy to offest the higher proportion of out-of-session time spent on documentation, insurance prior authorizations, and correspondence between appointments. I do not offer 15 or 30 minute "med check" appointments, because it is important to me to set aside plenty of time to build a therapeutic relationship and make thoughtful and collaborative treatment decisions.
Billing/Payment:
I recommend that patients keep a card on file with me, and I process payments and transmit billing statements or super bills on a monthly basis. These are typically available on or around the last Friday of the month (for months ending on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday), or the first Friday of the following month (for months ending on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday).
